Taylor Overton is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT126149) with a passion for healing and growth through relationships and self-discovery. Our heartaches, our grief, our addictions, and our relationships are often the gateway to which we can find healing and resilience within ourselves. Taylor focuses on helping clients reduce shame, develop emotional awareness, and deepening their relationships to be safe places to heal.
Taylor received her M.A. in Clinical Counseling from Point Loma Nazarene University, as well as a B.A. in Psychology and B.A. in Communications from California State University, Fresno. Taylor has trained with Dual Diagnosis Intensive Outpatient Patient (IOP) at Sharp Mesa Vista Hospital, as well as provided community mental health to teens and families through San Diego Youth Services. Taylor provides trauma-informed, LGBTQIA+ affirming, attachment-based care to each client. Taylor has received additional training in Gottman in her work with couples and families, and is working towards developing further training with Emotion Focused Therapy and EMDR. As Taylor pursues licensure in the State of California (AMFT126149), she is under the direct supervision of Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Patricia O’Brien (LCSW 75267).
