Her experience navigating the IEP/504 process in school systems has taught her the value of creating a collaborative team to support the student facing emotional/behavioral challenges in school and home. Sarah believes in using a strengths-based approach, incorporating aspects of various evidence-based treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Trauma-informed Care (TIC). Sarah strives to create a safe, positive and nurturing atmosphere where her clients are supported in their efforts to change and grow. Sarah also incorporates mindfulness skills and is able to help her clients find ways to recognize their strengths and areas of "growth potential" in order to become more self-reliant and resilient.
Sarah has office hours on Saturdays.
Sarah is an independent contractor for Kirstin Filizetti, PhD. Independent contractors are responsible for the legal and ethical psychotherapy treatment of their own clients while working independently from the other providers in the office.
