Filizetti Psychological Services of San Diego, CA, helps preadolescents, teens, and adults facing different kinds of challenges. Some of these include grief and loss, life transitions such as moving or divorce, mood disorders, trauma, relationship issues, anxiety, and depression. We also provide evaluations that can help clients understand what they need to thrive in a work or school environment, whether they have ADHD or another diagnosable condition, and whether they’re a good candidate for procedures such as egg donorship. Many of our clients are referred to us by psychiatrists for ADHD testing and use our reports as the basis for developing IEPs for students with specific learning disorders. But whether a client qualifies for an IEP or not, evaluations can provide valuable insight and get them closer to the right kind of care.

Our team of experienced therapists is trained in several methods designed to accommodate a wide range of needs. Some of these include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), psychotherapy, and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). Each of these methods is well-supported by evidence and in common use.
