Dr. Meany is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in San Diego, California. She earned her Doctorate of Psychology (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology from Alliant International University, San Diego. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Adelphi University in Garden City, NY. Dr. Meany completed an American Psychological Association approved Predoctoral Internship at California State University Northridge, and she completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of California San Diego Counseling and Psychological Services.
Dr. Meany worked locally at: UCSD- Counseling and Psychological Services, Veterans Affairs of San Diego (VA), University of San Diego Counseling Center., Veterans Village of San Diego (VVSD), Alliant Couples and Family Clinic, Access Psychology, and Alliant Counseling and Psychological Services.
She enjoys collaborating with individuals in helping them reach their fullest potential. Dr. Meany has experience working with unique diverse individuals with varying challenges. She values helping individuals create a deeper understanding of themselves, and how past experiences may be contributing to current distress. Dr. Meany believes relationships are important in creating a meaningful life, and helps individuals develop strategies to connect with others.
Dr. Meany is an independent contractor for Kirstin Filizetti, PhD. Independent contractors are responsible for the legal and ethical psychotherapy treatment of their own clients while working independently from the other providers in the office.
